The Adventuresses of Sherlock Holmes formally kick off the weekend with a dinner, for those who are already in the city.

The 19th BSI Distinguished Speaker Lecture
This year's Distinguished Speaker is Jeffrey Hatcher, who has written the plays "Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club" and "Sherlock Holmes and the Ice Palace Murders", and the screenplay for the film Mr. Holmes.

The Daintiest Thing in a Dressing Gown Pyjama Party 
Hosted by William Gillette 
The Baker Street Babes present a charity event to benefit the Disabled American Veterans Trust.

11:00 a.m. Otto Penzler opens the Mysterious Bookshop (58 Warrren St. - map) to Sherlockians; open until 5:00 p.m.

The William Gillette Memorial Luncheon
12:00 noon Lunch and entertainment at The Fillmore Room (map) Please note that this is a new home, but the location remains the same.
Cost: $47.00 for salmon or chicken; $52.00 for strip steak.

The Baker Street Irregulars Dinner
6:00 p.m. The BSI dinner at the Yale Club (50 Vanderbilt Ave. - map) - invitation only

The Gaslight Gala
6:30 p.m. The Gaslight Gala (dinner and entertainment) is sponsored by the Adventuresses of Sherlock Holmes and will be held at The Manhattan Club (52nd St. and 7th Ave., next to Rosie O'Grady's - map) - open to all Sherlockians and their friends. The theme this year is "Thieves, Scoundrels, and Rogues." Inquiries to gaslightgal@gmail.com.
Cost: $90 per person includes a buffet dinner; there will be a cash bar. Suggested dress is formal, but Victorian costume is also appropriate.

The Gaslight Gala is open to all Sherlockians, regardless of age, scion/society affiliation, academic standing, type of superpower, radio frequency, or Michelin star rating. We pride ourselves on being a fun and inclusive event that mingles our love of the Sherlockian canon with a good dose of humor and friendship. It is a privilege to carry on the tradition of the Gaslight Gala, and we look forward to seeing you there!
