"Sherlock Holmes and the Nefarious Baron"
Pastiche by Hal Glatzer will be presented in old-time-radio style with scripts in hand and live sound-effects. For more information, email Hal: info@halglatzer.com.

ASH Wednesday
The Adventuresses of Sherlock Holmes formally kick off the weekend with a dinner, for those who are already in the city.
6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 pm at the Joyce Public House at 314 West 39th Street

The Christopher Morley Walk
The 16th annual Christopher Morley Walk led by Jim Cox and Doré Nash. The walk is free, but be prepared to pay for a Metrocard and lunch. Doré tells us that there are mugs of light and/or dark ale served two at a time, along with corned beef on rye or a cheddar cheese platter with raw onions and crackers.
9:30 a.m. The walk commences at the Westin Grand Central Hotel lobby, 
1:30 p.m. Lunch at McSorley's at 15 E. 7th Street (map) following the walk
Cost: The walk is free; lunch is pay-your-own

The ACD Society's Doylean Awards and Wessex Cup

Awards for Doylean excellence in four categories: fiction and poetry, performing and visual arts, scholarly writing, and service. They will be presented in The Mysterious Bookshop. Each honoree will receive a $250 Bookshop credit and a certificate featuring a doily selected by lace expert Bev Wolov. Enquiries to mark@doingsofdoyle.co

The 29th BSI Distinguished Speaker Lecture
The 2026 Lecture will feature award-winning composer, singer-songwriter, dramatist and author, Rupert Holmes. He is widely known in the world of music for his hit single, “Escape” (also known as “The Pina Colada Song.”), and for the score of the Broadway show, The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
A prolific author, Holmes has written several dozen plays and screen plays, as well as television series and a New York Times best-selling novel, Murder Your Employer. He was the first person in theatrical history to win Tony Awards as author, composer and lyricist; and he is also the recipient of two Edgar Awards.

The Literary Agents  Sixth Annual Meeting
The Literary Agents is a scion society of the Baker Street Irregulars (BSI) dedicated to studying Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s works — not exclusively (but also not excluding) those he may have promoted for, or under the name of, Dr John H. Watson. The meeting is hosted by Ashley D. Polasek BSI (Author of Being Sherlock and Editor of The Conan Doyle Review) and Mark Jones BSI (Co-host of the Doings of Doyle podcast). 
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. The Literary Agents explore Sherlock Holmes adaptations, in conversation with leading screenwriters and creatives. Watch live online.
Cost: Free, but registration is required.


Open House 
 Mysterious Bookshop
Free and open to all BSI and Sherlockians. A gathering to be with other Sherlockians, browse the shelves, buy books. On this day, we welcome collectors and readers to our lower level to browse the shelves for some scarcer titles. We customarily have authors who will be happy to sign their books. Light refreshments.
11:00 a.m. Otto Penzler opens the Mysterious Bookshop (58 Warren St. — map) to Sherlockians; open until 5:00 p.m.  
Cost: Free 


The William Gillette Memorial Luncheon
A luncheon of Sherlockian conviviality, including skits and the announcement of that year's recipient of the Susan Rice Mentorship Award. The Gillette Players will perform a sketch by Lee Shackleford.
NoonConnolly’s Pub & Restaurant, 121 W. 45th Street (between 6th & 7th Avenues — map) open to all Sherlockians. 
Cost: $55 for chicken, fish, or pasta; $65 for steak. Salad and dessert courses included. Details and payment information available here.


The Baker Street Irregulars Dinner

The Gaslight Gala
An evening of fun and festivity, including spirited toasts, spirits themselves, open to all Sherlockians.

Cost: $90 for a buffet dinner that includes roasted Atlantic salmon in a soy maple glaze, NY strip steak, or Mezza rigatoni with sweet peas, tomato cream sauce, and grana Padano cheese.
